Adventures in HD(RI) – The Desert

Desert Sunset

High Dynamic Range Imaging is a post processing technique that allows you to take a photo at different exposures and combine them for a maximum effect.

I just started playing with this. Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't.

Tracy, this is beyond gorgeous! I love the depth in the picture and the colors...WOW!
You should challenge Brian to write a poem about it. :)

Well this one works! The colors are absolutely luscious.

FYI, I use picnik.com, the premium version, which costs about $24 a year. Under advanced editing techniques (which doesn't come with the free picnik) is burning (darkening certain areas of photos), dodging (lightening certain areas of photos), and curves, which I play around with but really don't understand all that well. For that matter, I don't understand very much of it!

Grace Court School, when it as refurbished they left one original classroom.

Beautiful and fascinating image! Kind of looks suspenseful like a scene out of a movie...
