The real reason we went was to see the new Dog Park that opened there yesterday. As usual I was a few hours too late to make the Grand Opening so I went early Sunday morning thinking dog owners would have their pets out for exercise before it got too hot.
Nope.
The park was empty and quiet though there were signs that there had been furry four - legged friends playing and barking earlier. So we sat there in the morning sun on a bench gazing at the colorful Frisbees scattered about and thinking how oddly this scene mirrored our own lives just two months after having to say goodbye to our 17 year - old Cocker Spaniel.
When the end came we swore (as we had the previous two times) that we would never fall in love like that again. That’s when Bill looked at me and said, “All the animal shelters are waiving their fees this weekend.” I reminded him that we each had trips coming up within the next couple of weeks, and we grew quiet again.

smiles. i imagine you will be visiting that park again soon enough...with someone to play...
Oh, I've been waiting to hear when you two would take the plunge again. This place looks like fun though.
We have a few places like that near our house...!! I hope you two get another pet, when the time is right! xxoo :)
Awwww. There's just so many of those pups out there looking for a forever home and you'll give them a wonderful one!
P.S. With two petals left and with the saying "he loves me, he loves me not," how do you think it turns out?
P.P.S. Your comment to T. Becque about storms in Tucson and how you missed it in your neighborhood on Saturday, you shoulda been at my place. I was actually afraid I was going to lose some windows in my house to hail!
Un petit coucou de France!

eheheheheh! Obedient dog!
I love that image of the ring thing.
Looks like they've taken each others roles - the ducks should be in the water, not the dog! LoL! That's funny!
I hope you get another dog, because there are so many out there hoping for a bit of love and a safe home.
That is a COOL dob park. Great pictures, too.
