Flying Into The Weekend

Time to make like a banana and split! For some it can’t get here fast enough.

On our recent trip to Monterey, CA we had a fabulous room with a balcony looking out over the bay. I could have spent the whole trip sitting there watching the sea otters, seagulls, scuba divers, fishermen, and tour boats if my husband would have let me. I spent a few minutes one afternoon trying to photograph the birds in flight. I don’t really have the equipment or skill for it, but I had a lot of fun anyway.

This is a Canadian Goose. You could hear them honking all day long. We would sleep with the balcony door open and I can remember waking up in the middle of the night to the sounds of waves gently caressing the shoreline and the conversations of a few nocturnal animals. I am more certain than ever that is what my heaven will be like.

And how is yours?

Sleeping with the sound of waves...lovely. I think my heaven is beside the sea also. Hey, maybe we'll be roomies. :)
