Good To Be

Somewhere the gulls are flying, the seals are barking and the sea is bluer than the sky.
I am not there today. But I am here.

This is good, too.

Happy Saturday.

Take Me To The Pilot

I'll be flying home to Phoenix today after a lovely week of 60 degree temperatures, hanging out with good friends and eating WAAAYYY too much food. Hopefully there will be a few cloudy days of rain to greet me and help get me assimilated with the desert again. Should I ever win the lottery I am quite sure I could enjoy vacationing 52 weeks a year by the seashore. I'll try not to bore you too much with photos and details of my trip. (Oh, who am I kidding?)

See you on the morrow. I hope you all have a super weekend!

A Trip!

Just a week to go before my trip to San Francisco and Monterey! I have been able to contain my excitement until now, but watch just how quickly I can become insufferable about things like this. I will be blogging from the road, and I am truly looking forward to an escape from the monotony and heat of summer in the desert.

Just for a little background, hubby and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this past April so this is our belated anniversary gift to ourselves. San Francisco is a city I have always wanted to visit, and we are beginning our trip by visiting with some good friends, Cathi and Alex, who are coming up from LA to spend the weekend with us. After that we have a couple of tours lined up and will wind up the trip with a couple of days in Monterey at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa on Cannery Row (which is one of the reasons I am reading the novel by John Steinbeck at the moment).
